Product Description

Tinguaite is known from only two localities. Sierra de Tingua in Brazil, where it was first discovered and after which it is named, and the Khibiny mountains, Kola peninsula, Russia.

It is characterised by its highly patterned, green shaded appearance, said to resemble turtle shell or plant stalks, formed by the combination of greyish-white Nepheline, black Aegirine and brown Biotite held in a matrix of green alkaline Feldspar.

A very attractive and rare gem.
