A pale yellow lab-created Strontium Titanate gemstone.

The name of this classic diamond simulant is related to its chemical composition, SrTiO3, and is made using the Verneuil or flux-melt process.
It has no natural analogue.

Its high refractive index of 2.40 which is similar to that of Diamond and its extreme dispersion of 0.109, single refraction and lack of body colour made it an excellent Diamond imitant in its day but has since been surpassed by other simulants such as Cubic Zirconia and Moissinite.

It has now become a sought-after collectors gem.
