A man-made composite gemstone with a natural Sapphire crown cemented to a yellow-orange synthetic Sapphire pavillion (base).

The upper portion of the stone is entirely natural.
The join between the two segments can be seen on the crown facets, above the girdle of the gem (images 4), and under magnification gas flattened bubbles can be seen trapped in the glue layer, as can be seen in magnified images 4 to 6.
