Product Description
An attractive looking Ruby from Thailand, its deep violet-red colour enhanced by the addition of a high lead content glass into the stones natural fissures. While containing some natural inclusions such as a particularly attractive fan-shaped partially healed fracture and crystals with stress halos, these bear the signature of high temperature having been applied to the stone. The presence of lead-glass filling is visible under magnification, identifiable by the tell-tale "blue flash" effect.
