A deep red Ruby from Madagascar, its attractive looking colour having been enhanced by the insertion of a high lead content glass into the stones natural fissures. While containing some natural inclusions such as liquid planes and guest crystals with stress halos, these bear the signature of extreme heat having been applied to the stone. The presence of the lead-glass fillig is identifiable by the tell-tale "blue flash" effect.
