QUARTZ WITH PYRITE INCLUSIONS
Iron Pyrite, also known as 'fools gold' is a widely available and attractive mineral in its own right, but can be found as either fully formed crystals or platy aggregates in Quartz as an inclusion.The finest examples are found in colourless quartz with the contrast between the transparent colourless host and the golden pyrite inclusions perhaps being among the most attractive and popular inclusions found in the gem kingdom.
Specimens of rose quartz with well defined pyrite inclusions are less common.
