QUARTZ WITH OXIDE INCLUSIONS
Oxides are a common inclusion in quartz, as well as many other gem varieties. During a crystals growth, fissures and cracks are caused by the immense heat and pressure of the growth environment. Occasionally an oxide-bearing fluid penetrates these cracks during the crystals growth-cycle, staining the fissure with colours that you might expect from what is essentially rust... yellows, browns and reds.Natures infinate variety means that each of these gemstones, with its individual colours and patterns, is a unique work of art.
