A faceted gemstone of colourless Quartz from Miandrivaso, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar with an array of purple-blue Fluorite crystal inclusions.
The colourful inclusions, arranged along a growth plane of the Quartz, appear to be surrounded in a shiny film, although this is the result of the contact plane between the inclusions and the host.
Image 5 is a magnified view of the inclusion scene.
The source has now been mostly depleted making these highly collectable gemstones rare.
