A substantial Quartz cabochon from Minas Gerais, Brazil with a captivating inclusion scene.

The colourless Quartz holds a mass of reddish-brown Rutile needles which radiate outewards in all directions from a central core of  (possibly) Brookite.
This uncommon arrangement of Rutile inclusions give this Quartz variety it's common name, "Bristlebrush Quartz".

To maintain its integrity, part of the base of the cabochon has been left in its natural, unpolished state.
