A striking translucent Opal cabochon from Welo, Ethiopia.

The gem has a slightly grey-white body colour and exhibits a full range of spectral coloured opalescence as the gem is tilted in the light.
The effect is particularly strong in this exceptional gem, with electric shades of green, orange, red and turquoise-blue being the dominant colours.
