A pale yellow Bytownite Feldspar gemstone from Mexico.

Named for its original source, Bytown, Canada, Bytownite is a rare member of the Plagioclase series of Feldspars. The finest examples are currently mined in Chihuahua, Mexico, the origin of this substantial gem.

The gem is eye-clean and very well cut, giving it a bright and lustrous appearance.
