An unusual faceted Morganite gemstone from Afghanistan.

The transparent, pale pink gem has a large inclusion which reaches the surface of its upper facets, a rod-like "green cap" Tourmaline crystal section which displays distinct colour variation through its length.
A pinkish-red portion is complimented with a deep olive green and a brighter chrome green section.
The colours are visible by eye in this stone, and can be seen in greater detail under slight magnification (images 5 and 6).
Along with this feature, a smaller highly transparent green Tourmaline crystal is lodged towards a corner of the stone (magnified image 7).
