A Labradorite cabochon from Madagascar with multicolour labradorescence.

The effect is due to the layered structure of this variety of Palgioclase Feldspar, also known commercially as Spectrolite, which causes thin-film iridescence, a phenomenon which is beautifully displayed in this cabochon.
