A very rare Aqua-blue Jeremejevite gemstone from the Erongo Mountains, Namibia.

Jeremejevite is a aluminium borate mineral with chemical formula Al6B5O15(F,OH)3. named for the Russian mineralologist Pavel Vladimirovich Eremeev who first identified the species in 1883.
In its transparent form it is considered among the rarest gem minerals on the planet, known to occur in aqua-blue, colourless and yellow shades.

Gem quality crystals of over a carat are not common, with faceted examples of over half carat being very rare.

This fine gemstone has superb colour and great clarity for the species.
