An exceptional Fluorite gemstone from the Rogerley mine, Stanhope, County Durham, England.

The stone is a deep, saturated medium green colour and is precision cut, giving it a bright and lively appearance.

Its most attractive feature is its fluorescent property.
When exposed to long or shortwave UV illumination the gem glows with a striking purple-blue fluorescence, as shown in images 4 to 6.
A hint of this fluorescent purple colour is visible in natural daylight.
