A cabochon of banded Agate from the Dulcote quarry, Wells, Somerset, UK.

Also known as Mendip Potato Stone, it is composed of a combination of Agate and Calcite.

These unusual gems were mined in the 1970's, but the mine has since closed and is no longer producing specimens.
