A faceted member of the Pyrope-Spessartine Garnet series from Masasi, Tanzania.

Appearing an alluring honey-brown colour in daylight it reverts to a vivid pinkish-red in incandescent lighting (see images 2 and 5).  

This is a fine example of a rare gem variety, having a pronounced change of colour and good clarity.
