A cabochon of Chalcedony with Chrysocolla and Native Copper.
This attractive gem material is fairly new to the market and comes from a recent find on Obi island, North Maluku, Indonesia.

The colourless, translucent Chalcedony displays subtle banding and switrling structures and holds plumes of bright greenish-blue Chrysocolla.
Rising through the translucent host are dendritic sprays of Native Copper (see magnified images 7 to 12).
When these reach the surface of the cabochon these features gleam with metallic lustre.
