Product Description

Cerussite is a lead carbonate mineral (PbCO3)  Named by Wilhelm Karl von Haidinger in 1845 from the latin for 'white lead'.

It usually occurs as massive granular aggregates.  This specimen from Tsumeb, Namibia shows good translucency for the species and is rare as a faceted gem.
