A fully faceted teal-blue Cavansite gemstone from the Puna district, Maharashtra state, India.

Cavansite is member of the Zeolite group, whose name is derived from its constituents, Calcium, Vanadium and Silica.

It appears as radiating bladed crystals which form a spherical rosette. 

Faceted translucent examples are highly sought after, and this one has excellent vivid blue colouration, an attractive fibrous, radial structure and shows none of the usual black-brown marks, pitting or other blemishes commonly found in this material.
