An Amber cabochon from Myanmar with an isect inclusion.

The highly transparent Amber holds a tiny but eye-visible fly.
Under magnification, the anatomical details of the insect are revealed to be perfectly preserved, with its delicate wings, antennae and almost transparent body clear to see, as shown in magnified images 4 to 7.

Under a long-wave UV lamp, the cabochon displays a characteristic feature of Burmite Amber, a strong blue fluorescent glow, as shown in image 8.
