A Burmite Amber cabochon from Myanmar with some rarely encountered organic inclusions.

Suspended within the transparent host are a couple of tiny shells along with a blossoming flower bud from the tree which produced the Amber.

Amber from the Hukawng valley deposits in Myanmar are among the oldest in the world, dating back some 100 million years.

A notable feature of Burmite amber is its strong fluorescence.
