Product Description

A superb cabochon of fossilized Wood Opal from Indonesia.

The gem was created by a process of polymorphic replacement, the original wood being replaced with Opal.

It has a black body colour against which the opalescent flashes of spectral colours, predominantly red, green, yellow and pink and more.

The quality of this material, recently introduced to the market, rivals that of the finest Australian black Opals at a fraction of their cost.
