Product Description

An Apophyllite gemstone from Jalgoan, India.

Also known as Fluoro-Apophyllite, this gem variety is distinguished from other members of the Apophyllite family by its high Fluorine content and forms as orthorhombic crystals.


Its low hardness, 4.00-4.50 on Moh's scale, its brittle tendency and its perfect cleavage mean that faceted gems are rarely seen.

This colourless gemstone is a good size for the species and is relatively clean within.
