Product Description

A polished Amber specimen from the La Cumbra mine in the Dominican Republic.

Suspended within the transparent Amber is a female worker Ant, perfectly preserved in this fime specimen along with other detritus from the ancient ecosystem.

Images 4 and 5 show the insect under magnification while image 6 shows the stone in longwave UV light,  displaying a chalky greenish-blue fluorescence.
