A superb Amber cabochon from the La Bucara mine, Dominican Republic.

The transparent Amber holds a range of fauna, including a moth (image 5) 6 small ants, a barklouse and a tiny fly (images 5 - 8).
Also visible is a leaflet from the tree which produced this specimen some 25-40 million years ago (image 4).
