A polished Amber specimen from the Palo Alto mine, Dominican Republic with insect inclusions.

Suspended within the Amber time-capsule lie a perfectly preserved Fungus Gnat along with 3 Gall Midges.
The features, along with other internal features, are best viewed under magnification (10x magnifying loupe is sufficient).
Images 5 to 10 show some of the inclusions, while image 11 shows the Amber's reaction to longwave UV light, fluorescing a chalky greenish-blue colour.
