A rare Amber specimen from the La Bucara mine, Dominican Republic with a botanical inclusion.

The transparent Amber holds a tiny blossoming flower from the Leguminosae family with opened petals and a single protruding stamen (magnified images  and 8).
Also visible under magnification is a tiny insect larva along with other organic remains of the ancient rainforest.

The Amber displays a chalky blue fluorescence when exposed to longwave UV light (image 9).
