Product Description

An Amber cabochon from the La Bucara mine, Dominican Republic.

Lurking within the transparent Amber is a small insect, a "true bug" and a member of the Miridae family of leaf-bugs.
The Miradae are unique amongst insects in having their mouth-parts formed into a piercing beak or 'rostrum' and are characterised by their "hunchbacked" posture.
