An Amber cabochon from the Baltic region with a large Stonefly inclusion.
Stoneflies (order Plecoptera) are an aquatic insect species with short life-spans and are not commonly seen trapped in Amber.
This cabochon, although a little clouded with interior features, displays the entire insect with all of its anatomical details well-preserved within (images 4 and 5).
