A golden yellow Amber cabochon from Myanmar with a series of insect and botanical inclusions.
Most prominent among these is a well-preserved millipede, its delicate features being visible to the naked eye.

Amber from this source, also known as Burmite and is from the Hukawng Valley in the northern state of Kachin in Myanmar.
This superb specimen also exhibits the chalky greenish-blue fluorescent reaction to L/W UV light which is characterisitc of Burmite Amber (image 5).
